Occupational Knowledge Certificate
The Occupation Knowledge Certificate is the recognition that an individual has mastered the knowledge requirements for the specific occupation. The individuals are tested against the standards for the occupation by a multiple-choice knowledge exam.
The Occupational Knowledge Certificate is available to individuals without prior work experience in a particular occupation, who have obtained knowledge of a profession through education, self-study, or by completing emerit training courses. The main difference between the Occupational Knowledge Certificate and the Occupational Experience Certificate is the amount of workplace experience.
The Occupational Knowledge Certificate can be achieved in parallel with the Tourism Essential Certificate which is the very first step on the way to the final emerit Professional Certification.
The main difference between the Occupational Knowledge Certificate and the Tourism Essential Certificate is the level of knowledge that can be nationally recognized for your occupation.
All emerit certificates are credited toward the final emerit Professional Certification.
