The Line Cook certification package includes:
- A downloadable copy of the National Occupational Standards
- A Certification Prep Pack, which includes sample exam questions
- One-time access* to the online Certification Exam, which consists of 125 multiple choice questions based on the National Occupational Standards. The exam must be proctored--a certification coordinator will assist candidates in setting this up.
- A Work History Verification, wherein candidates submit evidence (e.g., résumé) of having 12 months or 1,200 hours of workplace experience as a Line Cook; this experience must have been acquired within the four years prior to the verification being requested.
Successful candidates will be awarded the nationally recognized Tourism Certified Professional (TCP) designation and a certificate.
