Labour Supply and Demand in Canada's Tourism Sector (French)

In 2010, Canada’s tourism sector required 1.6 million full-year jobs to meet the demand for tourism goods and services. As demand grows, so will the number of jobs required. By 2030, the tourism sector could support 2.1 million full-year jobs IF there are enough workers to fill those jobs.

Will there be enough workers? This study, The Future of Canada’s Tourism Sector, quantifies the implications of long-term demographic and economic trends that will affect the tourism sector’s labour force. Discover the impact increased demand and an aging workforce will have on the tourism labour market.
